A few from Thanksgiving... finally

Lacey's first Thanksgiving was great! After sleeping in and relaxing around the house for a bit, we went over the river and through the woods to grandmother's house for a feast-of-a-lunch with the Hughletts. Lacey enjoyed her taste of sweet potatoes while we all filled ourselves with the traditional Thanksgiving fare. We had to be careful not to fill up too much... we had another big meal being prepared at our next stop.

Lacey was a bit tired by the time to camera came out so there are only a few pictures. Here we are in the play room (formerly Mike's bedroom... don't worry, the doll house was added after he vacated the room).

Lacey and Nanny! Isn't that dress adorable? It was a gift from one of Mike's patients. Thanks! We love it!

And here's when we knew we were done. The bow had been flung and our little wiggle worm was trying to break free. That didn't stop Daddy from getting a good hug in. Meanwhile, Emily sat behind them, perfectly posed. At least someone smiled!

After we put the camera away, we gathered our things and made our way to Heather's house to share the day with my family. We had a great time and tasty food there as well. Admittedly, it was slightly exhausting going from one family to the next, but we wouldn't change a thing. We love being able to share the holidays with both of our families and consider ourselves so blessed to have them all so close. It was a great Thanksgiving!
