Lacey's first Halloween was so much fun!!!! Our festivities began with a visit to the pumpkin patch in Flower Mound for some cute pictures and the beginning of a new tradition with Lacey. Unfortunately, the brand new batteries that I put in my camera on Monday died. New mom lesson: ALWAYS have extra batteries in the diaper bag!! Fortunately, some very sweet girls knew of our plight and took some pictures on their camera that will be emailed to me at some point. I'll post them when I get them. Thank goodness for good samaritans!
After the pumpkin patch, we went to Heather's house to join my family for a fun-filled night. The kids were all so cute in their costumes!!! Kristen got lots of cute pictures, including the ones below of Lacey. How adorable is she?!?! I love it!!! Kristen did such a great job with the pictures! There are more pictures on her blog so check 'em out. My nieces and nephews are so stinkin cute!!! Good job, Kris! We had lots of fun over the traditional meal of chili and trick-or-treating, for which we stayed at the house and handed out candy. Mike had fun trying to scare a few kids... men!
Afterward, we stopped by Mike's cousin Eddie's house before driving home. Eddie also lives in Highland Village and we hadn't seen him since our wedding so we popped by. It was fun to get to know him a little bit... Lacey really enjoyed him. It was cute!
All in all, we had a great time. Lacey seemed to enjoy her very first Halloween. And now, it's on to the crazy whirlwind that is the holiday season. Are we ready for this??? :)
