Part of the fun with Melanie included Lacey's very first trip to the zoo! She has become rather fond of animals so I was pretty sure she'd love this little adventure. She can recognize and name elephants, monkeys, horses, cats, dogs, birds, fish, cows, sheep, and probably a few more.... so the zoo seemed like an appropriate place to go. Of course, she didn't notice a lot of the animals when they weren't moving, but a couple did catch her eye.
Elephant!! Just love those massive things! I thought for sure that this would be Lacey's favorite stop because she loves pointing them out in books, but this was pretty much her only glance until she moved on to....
The sprinklers. There's a mister that sprays water right by the elephant's home and Lacey had all kinds of fun playing in that! She was hysterical. She ran around and screamed with joy as each drop of water fell upon her. So easily amused!
Here she is looking at the Bengal Tiger. I LOVE them!! Such beautiful animals. She had fun saying "Tiger!" and roaring at her. What a beauty!!!
