What fun would a day at the park be without Alex? It's so dang cute how in love with him Lacey is! All I have to do is mention his name and she absolutely lights up. She runs for the door and desperately tries to open it so she can get to his house... and she knows exactly how to get there, too. The little devil will crawl all the way from our front door to his house without needing any guidance. (Not to worry... I do keep a close eye on her!) She is a woman on a mission! She squeels in excitement the entire way, shouting "Alex! Alex!" in her cute little way.
And then there's Ms. Nora and Addison... two more of Lacey's (and my!) favorite people. There are several things that Nora has taught Lacey that she wouldn't learn from anyone else. It was on her way over to Nora one day that Lacey took her first steps. Nora taught her how to blow kisses, and I believe she even got her to wave "bye-bye" for the first time. It stands to reason... Lacey was almost as familiar with Nora's voice by the time she was born (and since then for that matter) as she was mine! Hey, two pregnant women had to stick together!! Come to think of it, I don't know where any of us would be without Nora. And of course, our two baby girls will grow up together which is going to be just darling to witness. So glad we have such great friends so close!
Switching gears-- this has a little to do with what's been going on around the office lately. A few weeks ago, we held a patient appreciation day, complete with catering by Jason's deli, great prizes, and a visit from Miss Texas, Rebecca Robinson. It was so much fun and a great success. Becca was delightful and we truly enjoyed having her there. As Mike is the official chiropractor of the Miss Texas pageant, they've always been generous enough to make appearances and give us their support. Oddly enough, I was the one who took the pictures of Mike and Becca later for the pageant's brochures. There I was with the camera posing my husband and the beautiful woman with the crown trying to find the best angle that would make them look just right beside each other. Hello?! Ug. I am a good wife. :)
Beyond that, everything is going really well with the practice. We've been enormously blessed and we are so grateful to be able to serve and get to know more and more people in our community. We're still narrowing down our search for our new CA but we have great candidates to choose from. Whoever it is that joins us, we are confident that she'll be a great fit and will only make our practice stronger. Stay tuned!
